Years ago I read Hertzberg’s novel, Collateral Damage, and really enjoyed it. Over the years, in my search for new reads, I would check to see if there was anything new by him. Then with all that’s going on now between Israel and Iran, and with Iran’s nuclear program once again getting more attention (which is a topic in his novel, except that it involved South Africa’s nuclear program), I checked again, saw his novella, and took a chance. Quite a different work of fiction from Collateral Damage, but highly imaginative and enjoyable. Have to say I wondered if it was going to be a religious kind of work cloaked in a humorous way, but it’s not. It is humorous and offbeat, though. Highly recommend it.

Very much enjoyed this fun and quirky read. As a whole, it was an interesting take on spirituality, modern-day society, climate events, and more. The author has a talent for descriptive language and dialogue that pulls the reader right into the scene.

Given what's going on in the world i.e. personal, political & international conflicts, I consider this an essential & very enjoyable read. It's interesting, inspirational & thought provoking.
